Insolvency mediation has not been a traditional institution in Spain. This paper aims to explore how mediation could solve some of the problems spanish insolvency proceeding normally face, using for this purpose the experience of other countries in mediation. In particular mediation could be specially useful in order to solve matters related to consumer insolvency and small and mediun size enterprises.
