Patricia García Rodríguez Esq. has practiced Corporate Law and International Law in both Spain and with the United Nations in New York City. Patricia García Rodríguez worked as a Legal Policy Analyst at the United Nations from 2013 to 2016, advising and negotiating with governments and international business groups on all aspects related to the implementation of the Business and Human Rights Agenda and the implementation of international labor standards in the workplace. Patricia also worked on development issues with a focus on social justice and gender equality in Latin American countries, specifically with the extractive industry. Patricia joined A Better Balance in New York City in 2016, a pro bono law firm dedicated to advancing workers’ rights with a focus on anti-discrimination, representing clients before the NYCCHR, and resolving cases on behalf of workers through administrative and litigation processes as well as private settlements. Additionally, Patricia García Rodríguez held the position of Manager of Pro Bono Partnerships executing the Latin Justice Program and worked directly with Goldman Sachs, Jones Day LLC, Outten & Golden LLC, and others in those partnerships. Patricia attends international summits and conferences worldwide, participating in the third Global Sustainability Summit in Madrid and the Colloquium on Policies, Law, Contracts, and Sustainable Investments of the Institute for Human Rights and Business of New York. Patricia is currently working with the Chilean Chamber of Commerce in an international commercial arbitration for a multinational company. Furthermore, she is the head of the Legal Department at WeTravel Hub, a disruptive technology company.
Patricia García Rodríguez earned her Spanish double degree in Law and Business Administration in Madrid and her LL.M. in International Legal Studies from New York University. Before working for the UN, she worked as an associate attorney from 2008 to 2012 at one of the top 10 law firms in Europe. Patricia is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and is authorized to practice law in the State of New York.
